BA in Theatre from UMBC in 1975 included a Televion prduction class. As an animator I had to build pices that would work in the editing suite. Therefore I learned to edit.  I was trained in on-line editing while at ABC, took courses in AVID editing while at UMBC- even Beta tested their first Silcon Grahics edition.  I have subsequently taken courses in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.  I constantly use on-line tutorials from the manufacturer's web site to keep myself current.  I have edited music videos (mostly for unknown artists- my biggest one was for Leon Russell in the early 80s - I was assistant editor on that one), commercials for banks nationwide, sales and informational videos for companies like IBM, Texas Instruments, General Dynamics, KIC Consulting and even a recruiting video for Regent.
